Home of the Dragon Slayer™ and other fine single shot actions and related accessories.

The name of the company has recently been changed. To avoid confusion, the original url and email address have been maintained.

DRGN WRKS LLC provides products and services for gunsmiths, firearms enthusiasts, knifemakers and hobbyists. It was founded by Gordon Robertson and is located in Trinidad, Colorado. We endeavor to provide unique and quality products unavailable anywhere else.

Our flagship products consist of four new action designs. These are the Dragon Slayer™ swinging block action, the Wyvrn™ Break Open action, a modernized Farquharson action known as the Wyvrn Farquharson™, a bolt action known as the Wyrm™, and a line of Grip Caps and Buttplates.

Purchase of a stabilizing system allows us to provide a wide range of stabilized materials, products and custom stabilizing services useful for firearms enthusiasts, knife makers and hobbyists.

Common features designed into all our actions include the use of fixed or interchangeable quick take down (QTD) barrels, ambidextrous operation, and the option of building a rifle or pistol or combination firearm. Barrels may be black powder muzzle loaders, rimfire, rimmed or rimless centerfire or shotgun. Our black powder barrels have the unique feature of being able to use modern centerfire primers or traditional black powder caps interchangeably.

All our actions are available in kit form or (on special order only) as semi finished or finished actions. Instructions provided with all kits include details for installing our unique QTD barrel lock up mechanism. This mechanism is also suitable for use with many exiting bolt actions, single shot and other firearms.

Our Grip Caps are machined from a wide range of materials, including but not limited to: wood, ivory, metal castings and bar stock. Choose from solid, skeleton, interchangeable insert(s), bas relief, and dual material styles with a choice of permanent or interchageable mounting. Oval and teardrop shapes are available with a choice of edge styles. Custom carving and other features are available on request.
